We currently offer two gallery wrap finishing options: thick and thin.
Thick: The canvas is wrapped around a 1.25" stretcher bar.The is the best choice if do not plan to frame your picture. It is has a solid feel and a more substantial depth. Comes ready to hang directly on your wall.
Thin: Our second choice is the .75" thinner version. This is a more economical choice, and better choice if you plan to frame your piece. However since the printed image still wraps around the stretcher bars like our thicker version, it still looks great on the wall without a frame.
The best file format to send is a TIF, or JPEG. For best results the photo should have a resolution between 150 -300 dpi if it is going to be enlarged. A full size image at 72 dpi will also print very well. If you are not sure about the size of your image you can right click on the file and go to properties (windows) or ctrl+click > get info (mac) to see the size of the image. If your image is above 2mb your in good shape. If its lower you can email us the file to support@theprintedcanvas.com . We'll take look and let you know whether it will work for printing and/or offer a solution.
No. We'll do that for you for free. We will size your image to canvas size you ordered. We will artistically crop your image so it works well within the canvas proportions you've chosen. If for some reason a problem arises with the photo not working in your requested proportions we'll contact you with an alternative. We will also make sure the color quality is the best it can be for printing.
Sure, if you prefer to prep your photos that's cool too. Send us a photo at final print size at 150 dpi.
Please view the graphic below for adding the appropriate amount of wrap edge area to your photo that is necessary for a gallery warp.
Sure. Be sure to scan it at 300 dpi, and save it as a jpeg with low compression. If you don't have a scanner, take your photo to your local copy center or Kinko's and they will be able to scan it for you.
We do not send out proofs. Because of variations in monitor calibrations electronic proofs do not serve well for representing the color of final output. However in the instance we spot something that may be wrong with your canvas we will notify you.
